ISO 9001 and 14001 Made easy success at Ro-Bal Steel.

Ro-Bal Steel LTD a steel construction and fabrication company based in the North East of England serve a number of notable blue chip Clients including Tesco as well as a number of local authorities. Ro-Bal’s core competence lies in the fabrication and construction of heavy duty steel structures and bespoke metal supporting products such as stair cases, fire escapes and decorative railings.

The need to break into new markets was identified early in 2009. Rapidly the need became a must as new and profitable markets began to present themselves. The problem for Ro-bal was that they failed to meet to two major tender requirements the first being ISO 9001:2008 certification and the second being ISO 14001:2004 certification.

ISO 9001 and 14001 made easy after some serious sourcing work were rapidly identified as being the quickest, most cost effective, lean and technically superior means of achieving ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.

Twelve weeks from commencement Ro-Bal were awarded ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certification. Entry barriers broken, Ro-bal have now achieved their business objective breaking into new markets that only a matter of weeks earlier was impossible. ISO MA

BVA Tool and Plastics

BVA Tool and Plastics is an established supplier of engineered injection moulded components to a cross section of exacting and demanding customers. BVA have enjoyed the benefits of being certified to ISO 9001 for a number of years.

The ISO 9001 problem at BVA was simply limited resource availability to dedicate to a paper based and bureaucratic and outdated management system. Excessive management time was being consumed on running a paper based quality system resulting in key process areas of the business not receiving the attention required by BVA customers.

ISO 9001 made easy was referred to BVA as a means of focussing, simplifying and streamlining the company’s quality system. Mark Miller the Site Director was quick to see the benefits of ISO 9001 made easy and soon after made the decision to adopt ISO 9001 made easy.

Waste previously experienced in the running of the old quality system is now a thing of the past. ISO 9001made easy has become an integrated part of the way BVA complete their day to day business in stark contrast to the old paper based system.
